Resorts in the United States
Great Wolf Lodge
Great Wolf Lodge is one of the best kid friendly hotels. Not only is it designed with kids in mind but there is an indoor water park that can be enjoyed year round. With locations throughout the United States, it is accessible to many people. We have been to a few Great Wolf Lodge locations and each water park is slightly different.
Recently, we went to the Chicago location. The water park included 7 big slides, 4 little slides, a big pool, lazy river, basketball pool area, a splash zone, as well as a baby area. We loved the water park!
Great Wolf Lodge is a themed location. In some rooms, the bunk beds are designed to look like tree houses. Great Wolf Lodge caters to big families. There are rooms that can sleep up to 16 people.
Everyday Great Wolf has Yoga, character meet and greets, story time, and a dance party. Many locations have arcades, rope courses, and bowling. These activities are so much fun!
Magic Quest is a wizarding game at Great Wolf Lodge. After you purchase a wand, you will begin a quest. There are kiosks, treasure chest, jewels, and paintings located throughout the lodge. As you find the items you need you will aim your wand and it activates the object.
The game can take about an hour or 2 but does not have to be completed all at once.
Great Wolf Lodge is a great family friendly hotel!

Their most popular villas are the beautiful Solara Villa and their stunning Solterra Villa fully stocked with a giant report pool and lazy river! These vacation rentals are amazing! Each house is about 5000 square feet and can house up to 26 people.
Because of its proximity to the major amusement parks like Disney World, Universal, and SeaWorld. Each room is decorated and themed.
Each house has its own pool and game room.
Disney World Resort Hotels
There are over 20 hotels located on Disney World Property. All of the accommodations are family friendly. Disney knows how to do things right! There are a variety of hotels, from value resorts, moderate resorts, and luxury.
I love staying onsite when I go to Disney World. Staying on-site is very convenient because of the easy access to the Disney Parks. The transportation options, food, and amenities are fabulous.
My favorite resort is Beach Club. In my opinion, it has the best pool of all the resorts. Plus, I love Epcot and it is within walking distance.
Disney World is magical in and of itself but staying on-site at one of the best family resorts in the world will add to your entire experience, making it incredible. Disney World has the best family resorts in the World!
The Gaylord Hotel (owned by Marriott) is one of the best family resorts in the world! It takes luxury and fun to the next level. There are four locations in the US (Grapevine, TX, Aurora, Co, Orlando, FL, Nashville, TN)
We stayed at the Gaylord Palms resort near Orlando and it was so nice. The pool is amazing! There are two areas. One is more geared towards kids with slides and a flo-rider. Then there is an enormous pool just for swimming.
The Gaylord in Florida has Alligators in the lobby! There are at least 20 baby alligators. At the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, you can take a boat ride in the lobby. During Christmas each resort host huge events that include ice sculptures and snow tubing. The Gaylord is one of the best family resorts in the world!
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point - Naples, Florida
Step foot out the back door of the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point and find yourself fully immersed in your own private waterpark oasis. Besides the four pools and a lazy river, kids can enjoy 5 waterslides with varying height requirements.
For a unique experience, take the free 15-minute boat ride to a private island complete with beach, chairs and umbrellas and a covered picnic pavilion. Kids love being on the lookout for dolphins as you cross the bay.
Not to be outdone by all the water sports, Camp Hyatt is an entertaining kids club with a daily schedule of activities both inside and out. Play lawn games of Corn Hole, Giant Jenga, or Giant Connect Four. Or, try out the climbing wall or putting green.
Literally, with so much outdoor fun, your family will not be bored at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. Located near Naples, FL on the Gulf Coast, this resort is one you and your family will want to come back to year after year. This Hyatt does not disappoint!

Beaches Turks and Caicos is the gold standard for family resorts, not just in the Caribbean, but anywhere in the world! Located on award-winning Grace Bay, Beaches has calm surf perfect for kids, a huge beachfront with plenty of space the most comprehensive kids club I have ever seen!
The kids club is over the top with activities including snorkeling, soccer and visit from Sesame Street characters. It is not the kind of kids club where the kids stay in one place the whole time. Safari isn’t the first thing that springs to mind when thinking about kid friendly resorts or hotels, but they can be a wonderful experience for the whole family.
A vacation that not just entertains but also teaches children and the natural world. Many safari lodges and resorts in Kenya tailor their packages to children, aiming to inspire passion for wild place and learn basic skills.
Cottars 1920’s Camp in the Maasai Mara will take children on a game walk and teach them to track animals by identifying prints and animal spoor. They can meet with local Maasai tribespeople to learn traditional crafts such as making spears and bow and arrows.
Stay at the Giraffe Manor in Nairobi and children can meet giraffe face to face. In the ground of the hotel they can feed them and learn about the near extinction of the local Rothschild giraffe, fostering a deep understanding of the plight of some of Kenya’s native animals.
