Awesome!  We love Universal CityWalk!  We are excited to share with you some of our favorite places to eat at CityWalk. 

There is a lot of variety from sit-down restaurants to fast food and snacks. On our last trip we were able to try out some great options.  

In this post, we are going to start with some of the best restaurants at CityWalk Orlando and then continue with some fast food options that will make your list for the best places to eat in CityWalk.

All of my recommendations are the best food in CityWalk.

What is Universal CityWalk and Where is it Located?

Plan a Harry Potter Trip

CityWalk is an epicenter of food, fun, and entertainment.  There are amazing restaurants, shopping, and entertainment options. 

CityWalk is located just outside of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and is a central hub.  When you enter the park or leave the park you will have to walk through CityWalk. 

It is where you will find the CityWalk Universal restaurants.

 

Parking at Universal CityWalk

The address to the Universal Orlando parking garage is:

Parking prices vary depending on what type of spot you want.

If you arrive after 6:00 pm parking is FREE. 

1. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville

Margaritaville in Universal Orlando City Walk

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is an All-American restaurant that your family will love.  View the Menu to see if this is where you want to dine.

Everyday: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm

Is a Reservation Needed?

Yes, you will want to make a reservation. However, even during really busy times, you will most likely still get a spot on the day of.  Make a reservation online or call: 407-224-3663

Is There Entertainment?

Yes, there is live entertainment. We really enjoyed listening to the performer. We could request songs and sing along.  Every night at 10:00 pm, the restaurant turns into a nightclub with live entertainment.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. 

Food Rating

Google ranks it 4.1 out of 5.  I agree with that ranking. It was pretty good.  We had a variety of meals between all members of my family.  Of course, the kids ate chicken nuggets, which you can’t go wrong there.  We tried the ribs, a burger, and a chicken sandwich.  

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. It fits the bill for one of the best restaurants in CityWalk.

2. The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium was high on my list to try.  They serve sweet treats but also have a full restaurant.  

Their menu includes flatbreads, salads, pasta, and burgers.  However, the most popular item is the shake.  There are a variety of flavors and they come with a souvenir cup.  It is a restaurant in CityWalk Orlando you have to try!

Sunday – Thursday: 10:30 am – 1200 am

Friday – Saturday: 10:30 am – 1:00 am

Is a Reservation Needed?

If you are coming just for the shakes or sweet treats, you do not need a reservation.  You can go directly in on the left side and there is a counter-service location.

You do need an online reservation to sit down in the restaurant.   Some people were able to walk-in and get a seat but it is not guaranteed.  You can also call 407-224-3663

Is there Entertainment? 

The waiters dress up in steampunk attire, so that can be entertaining. There is no entertainment in the counter service area.

Seating is located indoors for the main restaurant.  The Counter Service area has a covered patio area.  

Food Rating

Google ranks it 4.2 out of 5. We went just for the shakes.  We bought mint Oreo, cookie, and key lime pie.  Key lime pie won.  Personally,  I didn’t like any of them! 

You will have to decide if this is one of the best restaurants in CityWalk!

3. Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food

This is one of the best places to eat at CityWalk.  It is very popular.   This Mexican restaurant has an excellent menu

Is a Reservation Needed?

Yes, we wanted to go so bad but reservations were booked well in advance.  During high season you will need to book online at least a week out.  You can also call 407-224-3663

Is there Entertainment?

Yes!  There is live, loud, and fun music.  Free face painting is also available on some nights.

Inside and outside seating is available.

Food Rating

Google ranks it 4.2 out of 5. I wish I had first-hand experience but all I can say is the reviews are amazing! It is on my list for my next visit! 

It is one of the best restaurants in CityWalk Orlando! I am going on my next trip! 

4. Big Fire

Best Restaurants at City Walk -Big Fire

Big fire has a variety of steak, chicken, and salmon.  There are also burgers on this menu. It is one of the best places to eat at CityWalk Orlando.

Everyday: 4:00 pm – 11:00pm

Is a Reservation Needed?

Yes. Reservations are needed during busy seasons. You may be able to get a day of reservation during less crowded times. 

Is There Entertainment?

No

Food Rating

Google gives this a 4.3 out of 5.  I didn’t get a chance to check it out.  

If you like steak and chicken, it might be the Citywalk Orlando dining experience you will want. 

5. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Bubba Gump Restaurant at City Walk

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is one of the first restaurants you will see as you enter CityWalk.  The menu is made up mostly of seafood.

This is probably one of the more familiar restaurants at Universal CityWalk because it is a nationwide chain.

No, first come first serve.

Food Rating

Google ranks it 4.3 out of 5.  If you like seafood this is one of the best places to eat in CityWalk.  

6. Hard Rock Cafe

Eating at City Walk - Hard Rock

The Hard Rock Café  is located throughout the world.  The location at CityWalk is grand.  The menu is pretty much the same as all locations. 

I changed my mind, this is probably the most familiar restaurant at Universal CityWalk. Universal also has a Hard Rock Hotel on-site

Is a Reservation Needed?

Yes. Reservations can be made online or by phone (407-224-3663).  There is also an option to buy a voucher that will get you to the front of the line with priority seating. 

Is there Entertainment?

Yes, Friday and Saturdays live entertainment is provided. There is also one of the largest collections of musical artifacts located in the Elvis, Beatles, and John Lennon rooms.

Google Ranks it 4.5 out of 5.  I ate at Hard Rock at another location and it was okay.  It is great American food and one of CityWalk’s top restaurants.  

7. Vivo Italian Kitchen

Vivo Italian Kitchen Best place to eat at City Walk Orlando

This Italian restaurant is delicious and one of the best restaurants CityWalk Orlando has to offer.  The menu offers pizza, pasta, and salads.  The margarita pizza is amazing.

Monday – Thursday: 500 pm – 9:00 pm

Friday – Saturday: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Is there Entertainment?

No, loud Italian classical music is played in the background.

Google Ranks it 4.7 out of 5.  Vivo is one of the highest-ranked restaurants in CityWalk.   Should we say this is the best CityWalk Universal Restaurant? You will have to let me know in the comments. 

8. The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

Cowfish is such a unique idea for a restaurant.  Bringing sushi and burgers together in a great combination.  The menu offers a lot of variety.

Food Rating

Google Ranks it 4.3 out of 5.  Cowfish is a great choice if you love sushi.  This is one of the most unique restaurants at CityWalk Orlando!

9. NBC Sports Grill and Bar

NBC Sports Grill and bar is a great restaurant for sports lovers.  The menu offers a lot of variety. It is one of the Citywalk Orlando restaurants where you are sure to have a lot of fun.

Is there Entertainment?

Yes, if you consider sports entertaining, which most people would.  There are screens all around to watch.

Google Ranks it 4.1 out of 5.  NBC Sports Grill specializes in the ultimate game time foods.  

10. Bob Marley - A Tribute to Freedom

Bob Marley has more of an adult vibe going.   The menu consists of Jamaica cuisine.  This is one of those restaurants at Universal CityWalk Orlando, that would be perfect for a night out on the town.

Yes. Reservations can be made online or by phone (407-224-3663). 

Is there Entertainment?

Yes, a museum of artifacts and video monitors displaying the life of Bob Marley. Live Reggae music plays nightly at 8:00 pm.

Indoor seating is available

Food Rating

Google ranks it 4.1 out of 5.  The reviews are pretty good and a lot of people say this is their favorite place to eat of all the restaurants at CityWalk. 

11. Hot Dog Hall of Fame

The Hot Dog Hall of Fame is a counter service restaurant. You will order your food and then find a seat outside.  

Food Rating 

Google ranks this 4.2 out of 5.  I think it should be ranked a little higher.  The hot dogs are gigantic.  I felt like one dog could feed four people.  We ordered a few dogs one night and thought they tasted great! 

Kids will vote this place as one of the best restaurants at CityWalk. 

12. Voodoo Donuts

Voo Doo Donuts in Orlando City Walk

Voodoo donuts is a Portland sensation.  Our first experience was in Portland.  We loved it so much! It makes me so excited that Voodoo has a location at Universal CityWalk.

Everyday: 8:00 am – 12:00 am

Food Rating

Voodoo does not disappoint.  Google ranks it 4.3 out of 5.  I do think they tasted better in Portland but they were still amazing. 

Hot Tip

The line is going to be long.  I think we waited an hour to get donutsYou can pre-order at least two hours before picking them up. This will save you a lot of time.  There is a minimum for pre-orders – 1 dozen donuts. 

There is also a special Voodoo donut only available at Universal.  It is an orange cream long john. 

It gets my vote as one of the best restaurants at Universal Citywalk Orlando!

  1. We’ve done some tasting events at Universal and have tasted lots of the food. So many great options.

  2. I loved the Toothsome Emportium,, but I did not have the shakes. I went for dinner after a work conference. The food was great. I had some sort of sundae for dessert and it was AMAZING!

  4. I agree, these are some of the best restaurants at Universal’s City Walk. We’ve done some tasting events, so we’ve tried lots of places!

  5. We’ve done the theme parks in Orlando, but we haven’t been to City Walk yet. I’m making it a priority for our spring break trip. While I’m not much of a shopper, these restaurants look amazing!
