Our Experience

We came from Munich, Germany and we had a devil of a time!

We booked a high speed train and should have arrived in plenty of time. However, we got on the train and realized we may need our passports because we were crossing into a new country! (I don’t think they check every time, but we were worried!)

After talking to train officals, we went back to our hotel and grabbed our passports. The offical said that we could jump on another train and we should make it on time.

I wish that was the case! The train we jumped on was 20 minutes behind schedule. We had to change trains, once one the train they decided that this train would not be going all the way to Salzburg!

We had to exit in this little town near the border of Germany and Austria! Every minute the train was late pushed us to missing our Sound of Music Tour!

We were super worried! I knew Uber would not be an option in the little town we were in but I prayed there would be a taxi and guess what there was 1 taxi outside of the station!

We were so excited! The only thing is Taxi’s only take cash. I did not have any Euros! The taxi driver was a saint and drove us to the bank and then took us 20 minutes to meet up with our tour.

We saw the tour bus and the taxi driver chased it down! We made our tour a little late but not too bad!

Also in this are you will find little restruants and souvenir shops We had to get some Black Forest Cake and I bought a little goat from the puppet scene from the Soung of Music
